The Algoma High School girls’ basketball team continues to round into form at just the right time. They picked up another win Monday night, this time against Sturgeon Bay. Chloe Spitzer led Algoma with 18 points, most in the first half of an eventual 58-39 victory. Sturgeon Bay did not have a player reach double figures.
Algoma has evened their overall record at 11-11 and their conference record (8-8). The Wolves have finished their Packerland schedule and are a half game back of NEW Lutheran and Southern Door. Algoma still has a chance to finish in the top half of the conference standings, depending on results later this week. The Wolves open the postseason against Kohler in one week.
