The Algoma High School girls’ basketball team has been making a late-season run the past week but it has consisted of hard-fought defensive victories. The offense finally found a rhythm Tuesday night against Sevastopol. Characteristically for the Wolves, their offense was generated off of defense early on. Algoma allowed the Pioneers just six points in the first half and was able to transition into a balanced scoring attack.
Three players hit double figures including Chloe Spitzer (13), Emersyn Wallace (11), and Halle Panger (10). Wallace continues to transition to being a major cog in the Wolves offense. Algoma meets Southern Door on Friday.
