It has been a tale of two seasons this year for Gibraltar High School’s girls basketball team. After a 3-1 start, there was a long losing streak, and now they’re back to their winning ways. Gibraltar pulled a mild upset at Southern Door Tuesday night, 51-48. They trailed by 15 at halftime and stormed back with 37 points in the second frame. It was only the second conference loss for the Eagles. Gibraltar improved to .500.
Abbigael Sitte was the star for the Vikings with 24 points and nine rebounds. She also nabbed four steals. Sage Krause got to 11 points but was 3-13 from the field to do it. Gibraltar’s next game is Saturday against Sturgeon Bay. Southern Door is on the court Thursday against Kewaunee.
