The Kewaunee High School girls’ basketball team rebounded from their first loss of the season on Thursday night against a familiar opponent. The Storm and Gibraltar met in Kewaunee last week with the return engagement in Fish Creek six days later. Kewaunee bested the Vikings, 74-46. It wasn’t as easy as the score indicates though. The Storm netted 47 points in the second half to pull away.
For Kewaunee, four players reached double figures. Mackenzie Tlachac paced the Storm with 21. Gibraltar had some sterling performances as well, but not as much depth. Abbigael Sitte netted 19 points and Sage Krause had 16 with the remaining players accounting for only 11 points total.
Gibraltar is at Oconto Saturday night while Kewaunee rests until Monday when they host NEW Lutheran.
